I am a psychiatrist, medically trained to diagnose and treat mental health conditions. My expertise is medication management. I provide talk therapy to all my clients, while managing their medication regimen. The frequency and length of therapy sessions will depend on individual need, ranging from 30 to 60-minute sessions, based on mutual availability.
If you are interested in exclusively talk therapy, without medication management, I recommend you refine your search for a clinician licensed to provide psychotherapy (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD etc.).
-
I have an eclectic approach, drawing from multiple psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, to name a few.
It is not uncommon to have a talk therapist you may see weekly, in addition to the support I provide. I may recommend you having a therapist, especially if you require more therapeutic support than my limited availability can allow.
-
My aim is to provide a well-rounded treatment experience. If you are already working with a therapist, my supportive style is intended to complement—not repeat—the skills you acquire through your therapist.
In our sessions, you take the lead, and I allow the process to freely flow where it is called. While you and your therapist may engage in a more structured weekly program, I will work with you to process and integrate the issues you wish to heal, whenever they arise into your awareness.
